Originally from the Great Plains of Nebraska, I moved to New York City in 2014 to pursue a career in musical theater and costume design. It was in this electric city that I found my true love, illustrating.
My works are people focused. I am inspired by the eccentric New Yorkers I meet every day, the wonderful fashion I see on the streets, legendary musicians and performers, theater, and silly little pigeons. I stem from a long line of quirky visual artists and serious classical musicians, so I grew up immersed in the arts. Celebrating creatives is a prevalent theme in my illustrations. I am the creator of Bitch Pigeon - the comic series, and Coffeehooker - my illustrated alter ego.
My body of work is as diverse as my shoe collection. I’ve drawn fashionable Parisiennes for the online French fashion magazine Grace in Paris. I've created theatrical city scapes for Broadway Roulette and W42ST magazine. My work has been commissioned by Big-Giant (Omaha), RRR Creative, Youth Pride Chorus (NYC) various off-broadway shows and cabarets, Beeotch the Web Series, Slate Path Hedge Fund (NYC), Coco Counts her Cousins (author Tessa Faye), and Urban Haikus (poet Caitlin Diana Doyle).
When I’m not illustrating, I’m drinking coffee and buying beautiful shoes (which I will later draw).
